On last night's episode of "Live with Rye!" I had Kimberly Faye Greenberg on my show. Known as the sassy, brassy New York broad with a penchant for playing historical women of the early 20th century, I spoke with her about her iconic portrayal as Fanny Brice in her one-woman show Fabulous Fanny: The Songs and Stories of Fanny Brice.
Some other topics we also discussed were how the show was conceived, being the only actress in New York City history to ever star in TWO off-Broadway shows at the same time, pivoting during the pandemic to streaming, and the new doors that have opened, what she has learned while playing the role, her upcoming in-person shows, and some advice she offers others as The Broadway Expert.
One of the things that I love about Kimberly is her passion and dedication to hard work and hustling in this business. She proves time and time again that you have to constantly be working on getting yourself out there and "sleuthing" (I heard this from her this weekend, and now it's my new favorite word!) to help you get to your dream. She knows her stuff, and she has the results and receipts to prove it! She mentions this when we also speak about her other venture as The Broadway Expert, in which she helps people with their careers find agents and representation. If you aren't following Kimberly Faye Greenberg, especially if you're creative, you should start as she provides invaluable lessons and tips for reaching your dream.
