How about a few rocking predictions this week from your Auntie Martha?

1.) Almost Famous is going to almost knock everybody’s socks off. In a land far, far, far away from Broadway there’s a big buzz on Cameron Crowe’s show based on his 2000 movie. Will it reach Broadway before Tony nominations cut-off? Almost definitely.

2) Playwright Katori Hall is going to win a Tony for Tina: The Tine Turner Musical. Previews start this week (October 12) but, you’ve been hearing the buzz coming the other side of the pond for a while now. Hall seems to have tapped into the Tina you know and will show you something you don’t.

And, 3) Jagged Little Pill is going to go down easy with audiences. The album was groundbreaking. The creative team on this is stellar (Diablo Cody, Diane Paulus, Tom Kitt). And, everybody you know will be updating their collections to include the OCR. “Everything’s going to be fine, fine, fine.”
